IMF and the EU keep on disagreeing on the implementation of the financial programme in Greece. While IMF is insisting in more reforms and an adjustment for the debt, the EU (i.e. Germany) denies discussing it, even though it keenly want IMF to participate in the programme.
Speaking about reforms, in last week’s Eurogroup it was decided to split the second “sub-installment” into two parts, one to be deposited now and the rest to be deposited by the end of the month. The reason for this is that Greece has not fully implemented all the reforms required.
The claims of the french PM, F.Hollande that the greek PM, A.Tsipras asked from the russian president V.Putin to allow him to print drachmas in Russia before last year’s referendum has caused a big fuss. On its side, the greek government denies that a relevant discussion ever took place.
