The EWG of 11 july is one of the few meetings that does not have Greece in its agenda, since on the one hand, everyone is claiming that the reforms are being implemented on time, on the other hand, Brexit and the deficits of Spain and Portugal occupy the European officials more.

Meanwhile, the Greek government is continuing its efforts of changing the electoral law, even though it seems it will not get the necessary votes. The opposition parties are divided, since the big Opposition is against the change, while smaller parties support it.

The privatisation path is continued with the sale of TRAINOSE (the public railway) to the Italian railways and with the upcoming sale of 24% of the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO/ADMIE), which brings revenues to the greek State and it also may lead to important market reforms and improvement.
