A new battle has begun in the greek Parliament, since a new set of laws are to be voted in the next days. Although the Social Security reform is the main protagonist, some other issues, such as the regime under which TV channels will obtain an operating licence have also created a lot of frictions between the Government and the Opposition. Meanwhile, greek farmers, as well as lawyers and other self-employed people are protesting against the new measures that concern their taxation and their social security contributions.
Another battle Greece is facing is with its european partners, this time concerning the refugee crisis. Europe on the one hand is blaming Greece -and other Southern countries- for mishandling the refugee issue, on the other hand it has left a country that is facing major problems alone to manage a problem that has taken gigantic proportions.
